Welcome to out first blog post! We are a community of travelers who love the outdoors! The writers of this blog will change as we bring stories of our adventures traveling the United States. Our fishing charter started with meeting our Captain at the marina. Captain Travis was really good people. He was very pleasent and had us excited for what the day might bring. Once we got loaded on the boat we headed out to the channel that accessed the Gulf Of Mexico to catch bait. After we made quick work of catching bait we pointed the bow south and headed out to the first spot to do some real fishing!
On the way out Captain Travis explained we would be targeting red snapper since the season had just started. When we pulled up to the first spot, it was fish on! We caught snapper after snapper. After catching our limit of those quick we deciced to try for some king mackerel. These hard fighting fish, fast running fish were on fire at the buoys in the same channel we caught bait in. It was nothing short of Spectacular.
